Are you a 2021 or 2022 Edge Hill University Graduate?
Do you have an idea, project or creative role you want to develop? Are you looking for some help to start your career in the arts?
Out The Box is a creative development opportunity for 2021 and 2022 EHU Creative Arts Graduates to develop a project, idea or creative role* under a mentoring programme with creative industry experts,
Wives' Tales.
The summer programme includes group masterclasses, guest artist workshops, 1-2-1 mentoring support and participation in the Out The Box Festival.
Masterclasses include; exploring how to be a creative practitioner, alternative ways of funding, setting yourself up as a business and how to create effective marketing material.
*If you want to gain insight into a highly skilled role, you don’t need to apply with a project idea, you can apply to develop a skill/creative role instead - this could include but is not limited to, Producer, Designer, Stage or Production Manager, Project Manager…
The course is free for successful
applicants! If you complete the course, you will be awarded a £450 bursary to support the
delivery of your creative project and help make it a reality!
In the application we will ask you:
Who are you? (200 words)
What is the project, idea or creative role you would like to develop? (200 words)
How will you benefit from the programme? (200 words)
Application deadline: Monday 18th July at midday

Four compulsory Out The Box masterclasses on the 5th, 12th, 19th 26th August
1-2-1 mentoring support throughout September as you develop your project
Participation in the Out The Box Performance Festival w/c 3rd October 2022
